Fueled Dreams Motorsport is proud to offer this very well sorted and documented REAL big block 1969 Nova SS. Per the dealership invoice included in the photo gallery, this Cortez Silver Nova SS was sold new by Clasen-Morse Chevrolet in Overland Park, Kansas and came from GM equipped with the L34 350HP 396 C.I. engine and an M20 4 speed manual transmission. The car has been titled in Colorado since at least 1971 based on records that came with the car. According to the prior owner, the car received a replacement rebuilt 396 when the car had 79,348 miles on it, so there are just under 10k miles on the new engine, (reportedly built by Tak’s Automotive in Denver CO). A rebuilt 10 bolt rear end was installed with a 3.55 ratio gear set and positraction in 2023 at a cost of nearly $2,300. The clutch works as it should as does the M20 4 speed transmission. The car was stripped to bare metal and professionally repainted in its original Cortez Silver hue in 2023 as well. The body is very straight and the paint is excellent with very few if any blemishes, scratches, chips or defects. The car appears to retain the majority of its original sheet metal. The car has been driven very little since being reassembled after the paint job. The bumpers and all of the bright-work is in excellent condition. The undercarriage is all original, clean and is rust-free. In January 2024, a very experienced classic car mechanic fine tuned the carburetor and timing to maximize engine performance at a cost in excess of $1,100. A new performance dual exhaust system has been installed ($1,700) to get the most out of the free-flowing headers that were installed on the engine. The steering is not power assisted but is surprisingly easy to navigate and the car drives straight down down the road. The 17” ralley style wheels are new as are the Westlake radial tires. The car has power brakes with disks on the front and drums on the rear. The interior is almost entirely original and is in excellent condition. The original am radio is still in the dash, but is non-functional due to a custom head unit mounted below the dash and two door mounted speakers.
