1979 CHRYSLER CORDOBA '300' SERIES COUPEStraight out of long term 'Barn' storage.This project find Chrysler 300 is a beauty with the right looks and low original miles.360ci V8, Leather Bucket Seats, Air Conditioning, and more.Our 300 came to us as part of a large single owner collection purchase whom was a New Dodge, Chrysler, Plymouth, Jeep dealer in Upstate NY. Unfortunately the long time franchise dealer principal passed away leaving a legacy of a business still standing and cherished possessions like this car collection.Many of the vehicles including this Chrysler had not seen the light of day for many years.This one was acquired by its late owner back in November of 1988 and has sat parked since.That being said, you can clearly see that the topside of the Chrysler is in great shape and cleaned up well with a simple wash and vacuum.The underside, for whatever reason has not faired as well.There is significant rust to brakes, suspension, fuel lines, and as the pictures show,,,, the entire undercarriage is very crispy.We got the engine fired up by re-assembling carburetor and running engine off a fuel line into a gas can so you can hear that it does indeed run.Video Link:https://youtu.be/hBiZ4QkBvuwSounds strong too.It has no brakes and most of the exhaust is missing as you can see from the pictures provided.This is a good project for the patient and able enthusiast/mechanic.The Chrysler 300 (Chrysler 300 Sport Series) was a full-size automobile produced by Chrysler from 1962 until 1971. It was a continuation of the earlier Chrysler 300 letter series.Chrysler decided to consolidate its product line and the sedan replaced the 1961 Chrysler Windsor, which itself filled the place in Chrysler's line previously occupied by the Saratoga just the year before that (1960) and also filled in for the discontinued DeSoto product line.At the time, it was considered a luxurious muscle car, with all the performance of the Dodge and Plymouth products of the time, but with the luxury features expected of the Chrysler name.The 300 was positioned as a more affordable version of the exclusive 300 letter series, and a sporty variant of a full-size automobile, adding 4-door hardtop version and running alongside that model until its discontinuation in 1966.It became the sole 300 model until 1971, when production ended.The 300 name returned to the Chrysler line in 1979 as an option package on the Cordoba coupe.THIS IS A PROJECT CAR THAT CAN BE VERY COOL AND NOT OFTEN SEEN AMONG CAR CIRCLES...
