So here’s a quick story about this carBack in 1975 the original owner Mr. Irwin really wanted this car always went to the dealership to look at it and took his wife there about 8 times before they pulled the trigger to buy it,so one day the made there mind up and said let’s go get our car,so they drove over to the dealership,they made a deal on this SV-1 and then the dealer manager made them a offer on his wife’s car and she bought the orange one sitting next to it you can see it in the photos,so they drove home with 2 Bricklin SV-1….now thats a cool story
so Mr Irwin drove this car from 1975 as a weekend cruiser till 1989,he got old and did knee surgery and couldn’t get in and out of the car anymore so he parked it and it sat from 1989 till November 2023,I was passing but going to look at a old corvette and when I passed by I saw the garage open and saw the cars sitting in the garage,me as a car guy I had to stop and ask if they are gonna be for sale,so long story short we negotiate it and came to a deal and I bought both cars. I shipped them back home to Nevada here in Las Vegas and now it’s up for sale on eBay and find the auction at no reserve for the very first time since 1975 it’s gonna be for sale.
I’ve drained all the gas Holton. I rebuild the carburetor, drained all the oils and put fresh gas fresh oil and the new battery and she fired right up.
The motor is in excellent condition with no leaks no smoking and no knocking
The motor has plenty of life left in her
The transmission shifts perfectly fine throughout all the Gears
Brakes are old and would need new brakes not now but soon
Tires will need to be replaced
But nevertheless, it is a running and driving car as in this current state
The body on the car is an excellent condition with no dents or dings or any rust
The paint is in great condition for Tej. It does have some minor paint chips here and there, but nevertheless, for its age, it’s in pretty good condition.
The interior, as you can see, is an excellent original condition with no rips or no tears
The undercarriage is an excellent condition with no rust or rock, or any soft spots
This car was always garaged and never driven in bad weather
The car never sat outside again it was always garaged
All the lights in gauges workThe doors go up and down perfectly fineThe hydraulic system does work on them. The only thing that I saw that the doors need is new shocks. Shocks on them are the original shocks and they’re bad.
All the glass is an excellent condition with no chips or cracks
This car is one out of 2100 and is number 1952
Also, keep in mind this almost to 50-year-old vehicle. It’s not in perfect condition it’s been sitting for over 30 years so it’s gonna need some love.
