This is a really hard to find vehicle - all the pre-war stuff is getting harder and harder to find - you see some Fords and some Chevy's, but rarely an International.
Here is a quick back story on the truck - I purchased this one from an estate here in Kansas, it was an original family owned pickup as far back as anyone can remember. In the early to mid 80's, the farmer that owned it decided to fix it up for parades, grandkid rides, etc. While this was an amateur restoration, it was great for preservation. It was a rust free truck to start with, then got painted and then parked in the barn. Fast forward 40 years - when I first saw it the family had just pulled it out of the barn - it had 4 flat tires and they bent the right rear fender and pushed the grill up a bit in the process of pulling it out of the barn, - as shown in pics and video. The passenger window was also broken (I have purchased a new one and it will go with truck) but otherwise in good shape. I decided to leave it to the new owner to straighten the grille and fender. It looks like it should be very easy - but I am no body man.
We spent half a day cleaning it up and getting it running. I installed new spark plugs, new battery, and fresh gas - but is otherwise just as I found it. It fires up and runs well, carries good oil pressure, doesn't smoke, I think the engine is pretty solid. It will need a carb overhaul, as the needle likes to stick. We added brake fluid and the brakes actually work! I even found the original hand crank under the seat. It starts, shifts, and stops but keep in mind it sat for 40 years, it needs a good going over, it will take a little tinkering to make it more than just a yard driver, but it's all there and operational.
All in all it is a very solid, complete, running and driving project that will turn nearly every head as you drive by. This truck comes with a good Kansas title, I am a licensed Kansas dealer, which means I am bonded and insured, and you can also check my feedback from lots of other old trucks, no disappointments. I am also fine with pickup setting here as long as you need - as long as paid for. Thanks, and good luck! Please call or text Cort at 620-786-5172 with any questions.
