1970 Pontiac Trans Am # matching Ramair III
1970 Pontiac Trans Am
1970 Pontiac Trans Am I have video of the car going down the road upon request. I couldn't get it to load. This car had sat in a garage for 20 + years not running. The engine was hand rotated throughout the years waiting to be repaired and brought back to life. Once I got the car home I scoped the cylinders which looked great, oiled it up and changed the oil with a pre-lube tank and a new filter. I replaced the plugs wires points condenser rotor and cap along with the wires. I also installed a new fuel tank, sender and lines. A new original fuel pump is on back order right now so I installed a known good Edelbrock I had. I also had to repair the starter and starter wiring that had put the car down for over 2 decades. It fired right up and idled. So now about the car. The car was originally Polar White and painted blue long ago. It has it's # matching RAMAIR III engine BUT the carb has been replaced with a 1974 super duty carb #7044270 with a date of 2633 also the intake is a Winters from a 1971 HO # 483674 I don't have a date since they put it on the bottom of the intakes. But I have talked with several Pontiac part suppliers and this intake has been on this car much longer than they have been reproducing them. The transmission is from a 1973 and not correct. The original 12 bolt is there. Someone in the early 80's decided to (for lack of a better word.) customize the interior it would be easy to change it back. Included are a full set of correct seats. The original ram air exh manifolds are also with the car. It also has the correct JW wheels .It runs drives and shifts the brakes are scary the car will stop from very low speeds but the car can be moved under it's own power. The car is sold as is inspections are welcome.
