Original California Car, restored by current owner. Body and chassis disassembled, sand blasted and replacement panels installed. The Lazer straight body, was primed, sealed, painted the proper Aquamarine base coat, followed by a mid coat of aucopo blue pearl, and 3 coats of clear.Bumpers, door handled, and tail fins were re-chromed. All stainless trim straightened and polished. All side glass replaced with new smoke tint. New windshield. New interior, including headliner. New firewall pad, and all rubber components replaced. Restored steering wheel and horn ring. Modern wiring harness installed.The 1960 hipo was a late year option designed to be more performance competitive with other manufacturers. The 352 hipo engine had higher compression, performance camshaft, cast tubular high flow headers, aluminum intake manifold with 540 cfm holley carb and dual point distributor. The option had front sway bar, 3" brakes and 15" wheels. Manual 3 speed transmission and no power options.The blocks were hand selected from the casting and given the "HP" stamping and precision assembly.This one received a total rebuild. Bored +.030, crankshaft machined to .010/.010. Block received performance oil mods, and is adapted for modern Comp Cams 270S. Block is original and has HP stamp. Upgrades include 100 AMP alternator, aluminum water pump and radiator. Has performance starter, resurfaced flywheel with new 184 tooth ring gear. 4100 series 650 CFM carburetor has electric choke. All new fuel system, tank, straps, sender, boost pump and 3/8 fuel line. Hipo distributor converted to electronic.Complete suspension and 3" brake rebuild. New coil springs have 1 coil removed to level ride height. Front sway bar replaced with HD 1" bar. All new ball joints and shocks.New clutch and PP/TO bearing. T85 overdrive Transmission completely re-sealed, solenoid rebuilt. New pinion seal and diff fluid.Interior has a replacement dash pad, radio has been replaced with delete plate. New glove box, New antenna andradio speaker. New pedal pads and accelerator.Coker American Classic radials on origonal 15" steel wheels.Mileage reads 64786. Less than 100 miles driven since completion. Smooth and quiet driving and the overdrive is a fascinating option to have. This car runs great on 87 octane gas..
