1964 Replica/Kit Makes

This auction is for a rolling kit of a Cheetah Tribute car that I designed and built. The pictures of the finished car are to show what the car looks like when completed. Again, This auction is for a Kit. Not the finished car.
Replica/Kit Makes. I love the 50's and 60's Sports Racers. The Lister, Cobra, Kellison, Devin, Cheetah and more. For over 20 years I've designed and built many different cars that were influenced by them. I've been fortunate to have had several featured in Kit Car publications. I build light, but strong and stiff space frames to which 1987-1996 Corvette suspension, brakes, and steering bolt into. I have a jig that I use to build the frames. My suspension and steering rack mounts are correct.
I wanted a car the had the styling of the Cheetah. But, I wanted a Roadster and I wanted to sit low in the car and have good cockpit and leg room. I built a frame with a 93 inch wheelbase. I used a windshield from the MGB. I believe that it fits the look of the car, is legal, and is readily available. I'm 6'2". I fit comfortable. The top of my head is below the top of the windshield.
I sculpted the body to my taste. Had molds made and I have the bodies hand laid by a professional fiberglass company. The body is a simple 2 piece design. The Bonnet is 1 piece and tilts up for full access to mechanicals. The car is so low that I didn't incorporate doors. You simply step over and in. My frame is 16 inches tall. You sit down, into the frame. The dash is removable for easy access to wiring.
My frame is set up for Small Block Chevy engine or LS style engines. The trans tunnel is narrow and fits 4 speed manual or a Tremec TKX 5 speed manual transmission. Off the shelf headers and side pipes from Patriot fit. If running a Carb you will need to run a low profile intake to clear the Bonnet when closed. The car is set up for Wilwood hanging pedals. Cockpit will accept up to 16 inch wide seats
Since I had to make molds and jigs for this car I'm offering a kit for it. This is a hobby for me. I'm not trying to build a business.
What you get: Fully welded space frame. Precut, bent to fit, aluminum panels. These form the floor, bulkheads, cockpit, and foot boxes. Used C4 Corvette aluminum, independent suspension with brakes, wheels and tires (to roll around), C4 Vette steering rack, steering shafts, support bearings, ujoints, quick release steering hub, MGB windshield with wipers system, Body mounted. The body is in Red Gel Coat. The seams have been taken care of. The body, when buffed is very usable with out the need of body work and paint. (The finished car is in Red Gel Coat), A 15 gallon aluminum fuel tank is installed. An aluminum radiator is installed.
The roller pictures show the car at full suspension extension. When set properly the car sits at a great height. Shocks are not included. It's designed for 15 inch coil over shocks. Small body.
My Cheetah Tribute weighs under 2000bs. It drives and handles great. It's a very simple car and is simple to assemble.
The car is located in Elizabethtown, NY, 12932. I can help load into a trailer or truck.
