Here we have a true rat rod in all it's backyard glory. This car started life as a 1961 T5B Coupe but someone decided to graft an A front nose to it, and shaved the bumpers for good measure. So now it looks like an A. They did swap out the doors for A doors with the one piece glass, so that's a plus. Also cool are the period knock-off hub caps, kind of a knock off of the knock off, you won't see another set of these anytime soon. The seats are fiberglass Speedster reproductions but present nicely. The tires are also Speedster, made by Hoosier, another thing not often seen.Lots of new metal was welded into the car including new floors pans, battery box, closing panels, even some of the front trunk is new metal. A new set of longitudionals are included but not installed. While there has been a tremendous amount of new metal put in there is still plenty of rust to be found, so you're not out of the woods yet. Also, a lot of the welding is very amateur so you might want to go back and finish and or re-do some of the work already done. There is also plenty of bondo in the outer body.The engine turns over by hand.So there is enough here that you can see the dream the builder had, it will be up to the new owner to finish the car. But it's priced well below what you will find an A Coupe for, so this might be your chance to build the rat rod you always wanted. Everything that is included is pictured, if you don't see it, don't assume it's there.
