Up for sale today is my 1974 Bricklin SV-1 with supremely rare 4-speed transmission. With 75,XXX original miles, he car runs and drives well. I bought it in Las Vegas and drove it 800+ miles to Colorado with no issues. I don't hesitate to take it on 150+ mile trips to the mountains or car shows on a regular basis. I replace the original carburetor with an Edelbrock 600 and added an aluminum carb spacer to help with the heat soak from the cast iron manifold. Cap, otor, oints and condenser have been replaced too she fires right up. High Output 74' 360 sounds good and pulls hard.
The body is fairly good for a Bricklin. Some cracking and delamination in the usual places, ut overall better than many I've seen. All glass is good and doors work quite well. Photos show the main blemishes on the body. Otherwise it fits well and shines up nicely. The air compressor is wired to a toggle switch under the dash, nd also has a pressure gauge in the cabin. If you leave it in the "on" position, t will shut off automatically when the tank is full. The compressor works very well, ut the tank will leak down after about 36 hours. I have an ignition key, ut no keys for the doors or rear hatch but all of those parts are available.
The Interior is mostly in great shape. All of the door panels and the console are in good condition. The dash has no cracks and the instrument panel is nice too. The only parts that have suffered are the seat upholstery and the carpet. The car spent many years in las vegas and the dry air and sun made the seat fabric very brittle. The foam underneath is still good. The carpet has been turned kind of green by the sun, ut is otherwise in fine shape.
Transmission is a super T-10 that shifts well with factory Hurst Shifter. Clutch feels good too. I had all of the gauges except for the fuel working until a few weeks ago when they started popping the fuse. They all work, nd read correctly, ut the fuse blows after not very long. There is also currently no turn signal switch installed because it was sticking and killing the battery. All turn signals worked before I removed the switch though. The headlights pop up, ut currently only light up with "high beam" on. Finally, ne left front wheel stud currently refuses to accept a lug nut and probably needs to be replaced. Other than that, early everything on the car works. There is an aftermarket stereo deck with AUX and USB hooked up to 2 Pioneer 6" speakers in the factory holes. New Battery a few months ago and the tires are in good condition.
The pictures of the underside show that the Bricklin-specific cross members are in excellent condition. They are prone to rust and bending, o this is quite good. As you can see the exhaust system has also been updated fairly recently.
Overall, his is a great driver quality Bricklin. I've had a great time with it and it always draws a crowd at cars and coffee. If you're wondering, pening the doors never stops being fun. The real value in this car is the fact that it is a 1974 4-speed, he rarest of all Bricklins. Only 137 were built and this was one of the very last ones. It is even signed by Malcolm Bricklin on the dash.
I have a full set of original wheel center caps in good condition as well as the trim piece that goes over the windshield along with a few other misc. items. If you have any questions, lease do not hesitate to contact me. If you're serious about bidding, would be happy to talk to you on the phone as well. Clear Colorado title in my name. It's just time to move this one along to someone with more time to appreciate it than me. Car is sold AS IS. Happy Bidding!
