These cars are becoming hard to find in any condition other than a parts car. This one is in nice condition; in the last 10k miles the following was completed; rebuilt engine, ebuilt front end and suspension, ew original Jade Mist paint, ll new HELLA lights (not knock offs), ew distributor, lternator, egulator, tarter, ll seals on trans, ebuilt front calipers, aster cylinder, rake booster, hocks, lectronic fuel pump, lutch and pressure plate, oses, eader, xhaust, .67 rebuilt rear end with all new gears.
All of this work was done in the 80's and 90's by an Opel mechanic that built several nice Opel's for racing. There are a couple of small scratches and one about 8" on the passenger rear fender and a dent on the rear that you can see in the pictures. There are a couple of surfaced rust spots around the rear wheel area and on the drivers side rocker; see pictures. The belly pan where the battery is located on these cars tends to rust but as you can see in the picture it is solid.The interior, eats and carpetsare in nice condition. There is a crack on the dash where the VIN tag is like all GT's, ee picture.
The car has 79,000 original miles and the rebuilt engine has about 10,000 miles. The engine was bored 20 over and has an Isky performance cam with a Weber carburetor and a performance header. The car really runs strong. This might be an older restoration but it looks like an original condition car and not a trailer queen which is great.Car is for sale locally in San Diego CA so auction can end at any time.
