1970 Oldsmobile 442

1970 Oldsmobile 442 Numbers Matching Vin # 34487OE134159 Code 28 Twilight Blue. Code 933 Blue Interior : Car was ordered on October 4, 1969 from Herbert Oldsmobile in Homestead Florida by Ralf Hach for his 16 year old daughter Holly. Mr Hach ordered ‘this real 442 with almost every option that was available. Quite possibly and probably this 442 is a one of one for a 1970 442. Holly had a horse and a horse trailer and her father was a glider piling, so to pull the horse trailer and to pull the gliders this 442 was ordered from the factory with a towing package. Included in the towing package was a factory U89 wiring harness for trailer hook u, G 51 heavy duty rear springs, and M55 auxiliary oil cooler. Outstanding paper work included : - 2 factory build sheets from the Linden New Jersey Assembly Plant. - Retail order forms from Herbert Oldsmobile - Window Sticker - Protecto Plate. - Pre delivery service sheet - Original invoice from Herbert Oldsmobile - New vehicle warranty and owner protection plan card - Consumer information booklet. - Oldsmobile Assessories booklet - Glove box wallet. - Original owners manual . Over a 100 other pieces of actual documents, including Holly’s original Florida drivers licens, insurance car, maintenance record, very meticulously kept by Holly”s father, and a letter to me ( Norm Goodknight ) from Holly stating this car is true as described . Car was ordered with white stripes but when delivered on December 6 1969 to Herbert Oldsmobile it was stripe delete . Sad day for Holl, since one of the options she wanted more than anything were the white stripes . Stripes were never put on the car until I restored it in December of last year. Stripes are a light silver and not white . Options on this car are incredible . Options are as follows : 455 Rocket 🚀 365 hp ~. Turbo 400Automatic ~ 3:08Posi reared ~ Power front disc brakes ~. Tinted windows ~ Vanity Mirror ~ Chrome window belt molding ~ Remote control outsidesport mirror ~ Power Door Locks ~ Power Windows ~ 4 Way Power Drivers Seat ~ Night Watch Head lights ~ Power Seat back Releases ~ Cruise Control ~ Tilt Steering Column ~ Sport Steering Wheel ~ Speed Warning Speedo ~ Working Electric Clock ~ Power Trunk Release ~ Rear Window Defogger ~ Air Conditioning ( ice cold ) ~ Retractable front seat belt latch buckles ~ Rear Seat Belt Holders ~ Power Steering ~ InteriorHood Lock ~ Am/Fm Stereo Radio ~ Working 8 Track Tape Player ~Hurst Dual Gate Shifter ~ Dual Gate Sport Console ~Chrome Drip Rail Mouldings ~ Interior Rear View Mirror With Map Light ~ Trailer Wiring Harness~ Heavy DutyCooling Radiator ~ Courtesy Interior Light Package ~ Trunk Light ~ Under Hood Light ~Dealer Installed Deleon Jac PAC Air Shock System . Lots of great options on a fantastic car . Compare with build sheet 29 options on build sheet . Rally PAC gauges with tic to tach was not available on this car because of the cruise control option. I believe the night watch head lamp system was dealer installed-as well as Delco air shocks . Power seat back releases were added by a previous owner .This car runs fantastic and believe the engine was rebuilt in the past (no proof of that ). Very solid car . I only restore 1970 442’, for myself and have done many over the years ( lots of gold ones lol ) This car is one of my faves for sure .
