1971 Oldsmobile Cutlass --It's hard not to get excited about a 1971 Oldsmobile Cutlass coupe that that has been upgraded to maximize its aggressive hardtop appearance. And as you look over this full package, you'll discover a great mix of vintage style and new investments that create a very distinctive coupe offered for quite a nice price.
This was born a Line Green coupe, so it has been bold since say one. But you can also instantly see this one is far from stock. The taut black vinyl top is factory-correct, and now it's joined by a full blackout accent package. The grille, badging, headlight bezels, inner headlights, hood vents, door handles, full trim package, and 442-inspired full-width rear spoiler have all been given the midnight treatment. And we especially like the way the black bumpers hold snug to the sheetmetal. This high contrast total package of green and black really ensures you have one memorable coupe. But more than just a custom style, you'll love this one because this gen Cutlass had one of the best looks of the era. These look instantly sporty with flared fenders and a fastback-like Holiday Hardtop profile. And the upgraded Ridler alloys with the larger and wider rear ones adds to this performance look with an aggressive stance.
Inside, the clean full black interior does a nice job of coordinating with all the pieces of the exterior. Plus, you also see is more of the same well-executed custom attitude. For example, you have two rows of wide bench seats to give you a practical classic that can carry plenty of family and friends. Buy you also are assured individual comfort any time you want thanks to a removable armrest center console with cup holders. There are even provisions for factory air conditioning. The dash has the classic premium look, and so they carefully integrated the upgrades. That's why the Summit auxiliary readouts are mounted in wood-like trim panel to coordinate with the main gauge panel. And the retro-style radio looks vintage, but it's an upgraded AM/FM digital tuner with an aux input for modern music players. Olds gave you a sporty triple set of round gauges, and this one goes one step further with a handy tach mounted on the steering column.
Oldsmobile people know that a Rocket 350 cubic-inch motor is something very special. Olds manufactured their own V8s during this era, and they were famous for their beefy construction. So it's great to have the numbers-matching engine still under the hood. The consignor was told this has been rebuilt later in life, and the way it fires up and runs reaffirms investments in quality. Plus, the V8 inhales deeply with a four-barrel carburetor and Edelbrock intake. It exhales with authority as headers add power while feeding the dual exhaust. Power steering, a three-speed automatic transmission, and power brakes w/discs up front make it a nice driver. Plus, the addition of newer QA1 coilovers and the grippy BF Goodrich gForce Sport tires allowed by the wheel upgrade really deliver a superior handling package.
Complete with service manuals, this is a well-sorted custom coupe that's offered for a gone-tomorrow price. So don't miss you chance, call today!
