First, probably the most solid body I've ever seen on an old ride. I stated 99% rust free because I haven't found any other than surface rust popping through the primer. If there is any it's hiding well because I've been all over this car.
This car had been bagged on all corners when I got it and I fabbed shock mounts to improve the suppression of the ride. Stock steering and suspension otherwise rides and handles as it did from the factory. Stock drum brakes with new lines and power booster. New aftermarket wiring harness, all lights work.
400/400 combo with World heads, Weiand intake, Holley carburetor, Accel distributor, aluminum radiator and electric fan. Starts and runs good but I am not a Holley guy so the carb could use a fine tuning.
Body has been shaved, nosed and decked with bodywork basically roughed in with gray primer. Lake pipes (non-functioning) have been molded in as well a spot for dual frenched antennas below driver quarter window. Driveshaft tunnel in floorboard was raised to allow clearance when lowered.
This was my first experience with airbags and the car has been reliable for me and can be driven as-is or driven while being finished. Odds and ends: front and rear windshield stainless is included and will need cleaned and polished before installing; both door glasses are cracked, all other glass is in good original shape; it has no heater or wiper motor; I believe seats are out of a Cutlass but have been fabbed to fit well; bias-ply wide whitewall tires are in decent shape; only two of the custom hubcaps are included; popper installed on trunk but not on the doors; speedo is not working; tachometer is not included; this thing is KOOL!
