1965 Oldsmobile 442. Frame Off Restoration. Automatic. This is a second owner car, the car was restored in 2007 this was a frame off restoration, at that time all chrome glass and engine and transmission was removed from the car. The car was media blasted to remove the paint and body work was done and primed and repainted the original color that came on the car, the trunk floor panels were also replaced. Since this was my second 442 I decided to make this one the original color, I already had two Red car's . All chrome was re plated by Spokane Metal Finishing. Interior upholstery was replaced with Year One parts done locally by Dicks upholstery. Engine was freshened up and checked for compression, the heads were machined and all valves and springs were replaced and also anything that was needed was also replaced, the transmission was also reconditioned buy a local transmission shop, this is the correct 400 cubic inch engine that came in the car in 1965 and is the original engine. All running gear brakes and tie rods were replaced, radiator was re cored also. This car is mechanically sound and is a real runner. The car can be driven anywhere with no worries, the car has only been driven approximately 200 hundred miles per year to car shows in the area. If your looking for an original and correct Old's 442 you found it. The only non correct part is the wheels they are 14 inch Chrome wheels, I do have the original wire wheel hub caps that came with the car. A great car and fun to drive.
