1984 Oldsmobile Toronado Brougham
1984 Oldsmobile Toronado
This was my mother's pride and joy. It was always a great car to drive, mom always kept it clean and properly serviced. She passed away in 2001 and the car has been in the garage since then. My dad, who recently passed away at 94, started it once in a while but did not want to drive it nor sell it. I did not live in the same area as my dad but visited periodically. Got to drive the car about 5 years ago. Dad stopped registering it and having it inspected about 10 years ago. We are settling his estate and are ready to sell it.
I recently drained all the old gas out of the tank and put some fresh gas in. It started right up to my surprise.
The car is in good shape, original paint. The passenger side rear quarter paint is peeling off. The other quarter panels are fine.
The interior is in great shape. The only problem is the headliner, it is sagging but should be no problem fixing it.
The padded landau roof is still like new.
I found a brake line leak so I had it replaced and no other leaks developed.
Had the exhaust system checked out, had to replace a gasket. Probably will need more work eventually.
The automatic antenna is not workin, electric motor runs but does not raise antenna. Have disconnected the motor.
