1992 Mitsubishi 3000 Gt VR4

Mitsubishi debuted the 3000GT VR-4 as a mechanical marvel offering full-time all-wheel drive, four-wheel steering, active aerodynamics, a variable-note exhaust system, electronically controlled suspension, and a twin-turbocharged V6 DOHC engine producing 300 HP and 307 lb.-ft of torque. This 1992 example was ordered in Monza Red over a black leather interior and was originally titled in Wisconsin where it is now offered for auction showing approximately 40k miles on the odometer.

The exterior is finished in Monza Red (R38) featuring pop-up headlights, fog lamps, air vents, quad exhaust tips, and automatically deploying front and rear spoilers. The 17” silver 5-spoke wheels are mounted with Goodyear Eagle Exhilarate tires. Some scuff marks are noted on the underside of the front bumper, detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.

The interior features black leather seats with perforated inserts and gray carpeting. Amenities include air conditioning, cruise control, automatic climate control, a Mitsubishi-branded cassette stereo, a leather-wrapped multifunction steering wheel & shift lever, 3000GT-branded floor mats, and power windows & door locks.

Power is derived from a transverse-mounted 6G72 twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter 24-valve V6. This engine was factory rated at 300 HP and 307 lb.-ft of torque, which is sent to all four wheels by way of a 5-speed manual transaxle and a viscous coupling center differential. The 3000GT VR-4 can accelerate from 0-60 MPH in under 6 seconds while reaching a top speed of 165 MPH. Performance features include an electronically controlled suspension, 4-wheel steering, and a dynamic exhaust system. The seller states that an oil service has been carried out in preparation for the next owner.
