Offered for sale, from KURT TANNER MOTORCARS, is this good driver’s condition MGB Roadster in a crisp and simple color scheme. This car was just purchased from it’s seller in North Carolina. IT’s in generally good cosmetic and mechanical condition and is an affordable entry into the classic car hobby.The bodywork and paint on this car is generally very decent. Panel fit is very good. The LH side of the trunk lid sits a little proud like most of them do. There is a typical small crack on the passenger door need the windwing. Paintwork is older with a few normal chips from use, but still presents very clean and glossy with attractive black side decals. There has been a small repair/repaint on the car’s LH rear taillight area. The mostly original chromework looks decent. A new rear bumper and pair of overriders have been fitted. The windshield is the original Triplex item with a few repairs made.The car’s interior is decent. Seats are in average to good shape with some minor wear showing to the driver’s seat. The dashboard has been fitted with a dashcap. The gauges are operating correctly. The steering wheel is nice. The interior panels and sunvisors are original and showing some age, along with the original rubber floor coverings. A nice black carpet kit would be a simple and great improvement ! The black soft top fits nice and had has a small repair above the passenger seat, but it’s quite usable.Mechanically, the car is a good driver. It’s fitted with an improved downdraft Weber carb with a header set. The car’s engine starts easily on the key and sounds very healthy and strong with good oil pressure and no smoke. The car goes down the road with no fuss or issues, driving normally with a good clutch/gearbox, brakes, steering, suspension, nice grippy tire set with good tread. It includes the spare wheel and original litfting jack.Overall, an approachable and very usable chrome-bumpered MGB in nice crisp colors needing some easy cosmetic improvement.
