Description:

1955 MG T-Series

For Sale with no reserve. This is the rarest of the TF series of MGs. It has the 1500 engine (XPEG3002). These cars restored are now advertised for high $30,000 - low $40,000 prices. It is a great restoration project. It is not a barn find. It has been stored 25 years in dry storage. Has zero rust and zero wood rot. Restoration has been started. Front suspension and frame are done. The body has been stripped with only the fenders and bolt on parts to take care of small dents before priming and painting. Most parts have been cleaned, tripped and many repainted. Most small parts are in marked boxes. The car is complete( *see exceptions below) . Odometer shows 63,671 miles which is believed to be original as it was off of the road for a large part of its life. I have owned the car for over 12 years and I hate to let it go but it has become clear I will not be able to finish it and it is too nice not to be restored.
* Missing parts: water temperature gauge, tarter bracket and switch on the firewall, oor check rod and maybe an inner door latch. ADDED NOTE: The engine and transmission were operational when I bought the car. The engine is still free. I just checked it a week ago.
I also have approximately $4000 in new, sed and rebuilt parts that I will sell any or all separately to the purchaser of the car at 1/3 off the current Moss Motors price, ie $100 part would be $66).
Some of the new parts available for separate sale are:Front and rear bumpers and bumper guardsTan interior door panel and trim kitCloth wiring harnessExhaust systemClutchSeat cushionsCopper brake line setOuter door handlesFuel pumpTaillight kitInner tubesRubber seal kitPlus lots more new parts including some small parts, rim, crews, olts, tc.Also available for sale are a set of great used tan leather seat covers, an canvas top, heel cover, edone wire wheels and more.
Because of the location of parts and the car, t was very hard to photograph them. Please ask any questions you may have. Shipping is the responsibility of the buyer but I will assist with loading. The loose parts will require about a pickup size contained bed and a trailer for the rolling body and frame. Pickup will have to occur by agreed schedule.
