Just finished ground up restoration, $4,000 engine build!
1953 MG T-Series --
Hardly any miles on less then a year old restoration. Includes a folder of receipts. EXTERIOR: The body was disassembled prepped and completely repainted. I didn't notice any flaws. It is straight, fits right and the paint is glossy. Has new welting between fenders and body. Every rubber body gasket is new- bottom of windshield, around the cowl, at the base of each light etc. New rubber strips on running boards, new rubber behind fuel tank straps. A lot of... new hardware too, lots of chrome bolts. Bumpers and brackets look new. Grill is rechromed, emblem is new, radiator cap is original. Chrome windshield frame is nearly new looking, it does fold too. Chrome on all the light housings are new. Each side of the fuel tank has chrome inserts, has pop up aluminum gas cap. All 5 rims are painted body color, wheel trim is very nice. All 5 have new tires. Convertible top is excellent. Side curtains are not restored. INTERIOR: Soft, genuine leather seat and shift boot. Carpet has all been replaced with correct reproduction, new sill plates. Door panels are replaced, chrome door handle mechanisms look new. The entire dash area has been restored. Gauges were rebuilt, chrome sparkles, knobs are new. The steering wheel was restored. Has optional turn signal under the dash. Seatbelts were added. ENGINE COMPARTMENT: $3,947 spent professionally rebuilding the motor just last year. Receipts and detailed specs included. They started by hot tanking, magnafluxing, boring, honing, resurfacing the block. Every component was remachined or replaced. The assembly was balanced. The head got 3 angle valve job and upgraded hardened valves to run on pump gas. Engine compartment is show quality. The entire cowl area is painted and detailed. Every single component looks new. It is very detailed, every last screw, clip etc is polished or painted. Has an aluminum valve cover. Plug wires, hoses, correct clamps are new. Generator, fuel pump, carbs look new. It is impressive looking. UNDERSIDE: It has been cleaned and painted. No rust. Front end is all good with several new components. Bottom of motor has a real nice finned aluminum pan. New brake system including master cylinder, shoes, wheel cylinders. New exhaust. Fun little sports car. Imagine taking a cruise in the countryside, pack a picnic with some biscuits and tea.
