1958 MGA 1500 VIDEO WITH LISTING VIN: HDK4351164 H: MGA 1500 D: Roadster K: Orient Red (color) 4: Left Hand Drive, North American Export 3: Laquer Paint Engine: 15GC-U-H 15017 (1489cc MG I4) Exterior: - Please take a look at the video accompanying the listing, as the car is shown in detail. - Paint is a 10-footer at best. As you'll see in the photos and video, there are a handful of different spots with flaking or bubbling. The color is nice, shines well, and isn't faded, but this paint wasn't... done to a super high standard. - Chrome pieces are all in pretty nice shape. Some very light oxidation on the front bumper, but not much of any chrome oxidation elsewhere. Chrome front grille has some wrinkles in it. - Glass and light lenses are all clear and crack-free. - Wheels are excellent. Chrome hubcaps aren't dinged at all and look fantastic. Tires are like-new. - Black convertible top is in good shape, though it does show its age a bit. The clear plastic in the rear has yellowed a bit. The car will also come with sliding-open side curtains. Interior: - Body-colored dash is in nice shape. Gauges are all functional with the exception of the odometer. - Radio turns on but just plays static. - Lights and signals are all functional. Headlights, fogs, indicators, etc. - Seats are fairly well-worn. Driver's seat has a few burst seams, currently covered up with black tape. Passenger seat is better but not great. Comfortable but pretty tired-looking. - Rubber floormats will come with the car in addition to the MG branded floormats in there now. Under the Hood / Underbody: - Engine is not the original unit but is still a 1489cc MG Inline-4, engine number 15GC-U-H 15017. - Car runs and drives quite well. Fires right up and sounds fantastic, idles cool and steady, and accelerates without any hesitation or stuttering. The car tracks straight under acceleration, hooks right a bit under braking, but the brakes are tight and effective. Suspension is nicely sorted, the car soaks up bumps and handles very well, without any noises or tendencies of concern. - Please take a look through the underbody photos, as it's documented in detail. Underbody looks quite good. Frame is nice and solid. Really nothing to note other than some very superficial light surface rust on various components. Overall, this is a nice driver-level MGA.
