Debuting in 1950, he TC-series was replaced by a slightly larger TD-series. This new design offered both left-hand-drive appointments and an independent front suspension for the first time. They also included smaller, ore tire-friendly 15” wheels and a wheel track that was 5 inches wider promising much better road handling! A Mark II Competition version was offered from the factory offering slightly larger SU H4 carburetion through a modified intake manifold, ood bulge to accommodate larger air cleaners, arger intake valves, win electric fuel pumps, pgraded Andrex suspension dampers, igher axle ratio, nd special Mark II exterior badging. This performance series was offered the entire model run through 1950-1953, nd became the standard power plant for the TF by 1954. Approximately 1,700 factory units left England over those 4 years making them exceptionally rare to find today!
This beautiful 1952 MGTD Mark II Roadster comes finished in Cipper Blue over Honey Tan leatherette and matching Tan Stayfast canvass soft top and side curtains. its original, umber’s matching 1250cc straight 4 engine mated to a 4-speed manual transmission, t produces a modest 57 horsepower at 5200 rpm! It is fully loaded with features that include correct vinyl covered dash, oretti 4-spoke steering wheel, oods shift knob, orrect Jaeger gauges and Lucas amp meter, lectric wipers, eater, ing of the Road/Lucas PL700 headlamps, 5” disc wheels with polished chrome center caps & Michelin X 155SR15 ZX radial tires, hrome tipped exhaust, ucas fog lamps with badge bar, ender mounted mirror, ual windshield mirrors, inted sun visor, love box door ash tray, urn signals, eat belts, uggage rack, ll-transistor AM radio in glove box, inyl boot cover, complete canvass top set with side curtains and full cloth tonneau cover!
