For Sale 1957 MGA Convertible.
I purchased the car five years ago after the car had undergone a body off restoration.
The engine had been professionally rebuilt. New Weber Carb.
The chassis was gone over.
Steering, including all of the suspension was rebuilt.
A stainless exhaust.
New fuel tank and sender unit.
Brakes and hand brake cable, new wheel and master cylinders.
New radial tires and wire wheels.
Interior was replaced with carpets and spare wheel carpet cover.
New bumpers front and back.
New top and tonneau cover.
After I had the car for a few weeks I noticed that there were black marks showing on the seats, upon further inspection I discovered that they had been dyed.The seats were rebuilt and re-upholstered with leather seat faces.
After I bought the car and got it home I decided to finish the restoration. The previous owner had not replaced a lot of little bits and pieces. I began by replacing all of switches and knobs. New wood steering wheel. Old one will go with the car.
New heater control panel, new gear lever.New starter, cables and solenoid (the other starter would not disengage).New choke cable.
Chrome grab handles, tonneau cover studs and clips.New sun visors and wind wings.New chrome dash air vents.New interior mirror. New grille and MG badge.New trunk badge and fender badges.New rear number plate light.New mirrors.New sill plates.New interior floor ridge kit.An ashtray was added, I don't smoke but its handy for spare keys or ? New handbrake lever rubber grip.The interior was fitted with heat and sound deadening material, it was also put behind the door panels.New set of knockoff wheel nuts.
I have made up a tool kit to include the wheel nut removing mallet, jack and handle. MGA Handbook. Reprint, but like new.Complete set of door hinge screws. Under the hood I replaced the radiator.Added an electric fan.Added an oil cooler.
New chrome oil cap.New air intake hose with clamps.New decals and chassis number plate.Chrome coil cover.New battery and clamps.A battery trickle charger and turn off switch.New heat and sound deadening added to the underside of the hood.The plexiglass on the sliding windows was replaced( the paper has never been removed, so theplexiglass will look like new.will be brand new.
