Description:

1976 MG MGB

All- I'm listing this1976 MGBfor a friend of mine. The car has been very well cared for as you will read and see in auction description and only has 50,381 miles showing on theodometer..The car isavailable to be seen and driven anytime during the auction. I have no financial interest in the car just selling her for a friend. The car is located atmy house inStanfield North Carolina 28163. File:The car has been very, very well cared for and has a binder nearly 2 inches thick of invoices totally $13,731 detailing in chronological order all the care given to the car over the past 9 years. This file is truly amazing. Mechanically:The car runsgreat and has tight and responsive steering. The car starts right up with no issues or smoke and holds very good oil pressure. The car has been converted to twin SU carburetors with high end K&Nair filtersfor reliability and performance. The car shifts up / down through all gears with no bidding or grinding in any of the gears. At this time I know of nothing the car needs other that to be driven and enjoyed. It would take a day or longer to detail everything that has been doneto the car so suffice it to say the car needs nothing at all and I would not hesitate to drive this car any distance.
Electrical's:This area is inexcellent / amazing condition with the following items in working order.Headlights ( high & low beam) wor, wipers work, front & rearturn signals work, front & rear running lights work, front and rear side marker lights work, brake lights work, backup lights work, license plate lights work, trunk light works, dash gauge lights work, dash indicator lights work, dash warning lights work, interior courtesy light works, seat belt warninglight works, hazard switch works, cigarette lighterworksandblower fan works. Heck even the windshield washer pump and jets work !! Needs absolutely nothing what so ever. Gauges:All gauges are correct and original "Smith" brand and are in proper working order and look like new.
Interior:Near showquality as shown inthe photos. Exterior: The car presents herself nicely in the photos and the like new soft top and high end wheel and tire package really sets the car off and apart from what you normally see out there. The carsitsnicely on the ground with no signs of leaning orsagging. As seen all body panels, hood, trunk, wheel arches, dog legsanddoors are very straight. The windows and allbody seals / gaskets are in like new condition. The paint is lets say "fair" but to really do the car justice you should plan on painting her at some point. Its fine as a driver but opinions very. Underbody: Is rock solid with no issues or signs of repair. Soft Top:Is in like new condition. The soft top has been converted to the earlier "stow away" type ata cost of nearly $1000. Its very easy to use and ensures that when down / off the car you won't damage the top or windows like so often happens with the folding type. Note: the car does some with the original fold style top frame which is in perfect condition and worth several hundreds of dollars on the open market. Covers: The car comes with a top cover, Tonneau cover ( cover the cockpit when the top is down ) and a car cover that covers just the top and glass when the car is not in use. These 3 tops cost nearly $800 and are in perfect condition. Trunk: The trunk is solid and has a spare wheel, original jack, lug wrench and stowage bag, original top cover support rails and stowage bag. Books: Car comes with owners handbook, repair manual, electrical manual and a 14x17 laminated color coded wiring diagram. Spares / Extras: The car comes with 3 large boxes of spare parts, original folding soft top frame and a reconditioned front steering rack ( car has a new one on her ). My best guess is the value of these parts is in the $1500 to $2000 range. Overseas Bidders:Yes the auction is open to overseas bidders. The auction is open to overseas bidders and if you need to ship overseas try Schumacher Cargo Logisticsshipping for fast free quotes ( http://www.schumachercargo.com/ ).
