1969 Mercury Cougar XR7 Convertible project car.  Power steering, power disc bakes, air conditioning (not currently installed but have the old compressor), factory styled steel wheels, tilt wheel (not functioning).  Car is currently maroon with a black top and interior.  Needs new top. My son started sanding the paint since the car needs a repaint.  Engine in the car is a mix of 428 and 390 parts including a police interceptor intake built by the prior owner. Engine turns over but does not start since the tank ran dry and fuel is not getting to the fuel pump.  Car also comes with the original 390 engine which needs a rebuild.  Torque boxes are solid.  One section of floor on driver side rear just in front of the rear seat needs to be replaced.  Corners of doors have some rust, but car comes with an additional set of doors.  3 rust spots on top of fenders.  Also some rust on lower rear wheel wells but have patch panels.  The bolt hole on passenger side hinge of hood is torn but also have patch panel.  The car at one time had body side moldings, so there are holes that need to be welded where that has been removed.  The car comes with either a black or saddle interior but either will have to be recovered.  Have door panels in black or saddle and wheel pad in black or saddle.  I have a rechromed bumper.  Also a second bumper but not sure if is same.  Car also comes with additional dash pad in very good condition and xr7 console.  The sale includes another set of tail lights.  I may have another front grill. The suspension and brakes have been rebuilt.  All chrome removed from car and comes with the car.  One eyebrow was missing when we got the car.  Car has been to Carlisle several times, and was in the mangy cat class at the Bridgewater NJ national cougar show.  Currently S code xr7 convertibles are selling for $60,000 plus. This car is a solid base for a restoration. Accepting offers for car only(including original engine) or car and parts.
