1986 Mercury Cougar
Up for auction is my 1986 Mercury Cougar which is powered by a 302ci V8 (original v8 AOD car). It has been retrofitted to Tremec five-speed manual transmission, new clutch and flywheel and a Ford 8.8″ limited-slip rear axle (from a 32k mile mustang), 3.73 gear and steeda front and rear sway bars. Car has a complete 5.0 Mustang HO conversion which is a Cobra intake manifold, E7 cylinder heads, stock mustang headers, and ECU in addition to an Anderson Ford Motorsport power pipe, a Accufab 75mm throttle body, an adjustable fuel pressure regulator, Anderson fuel rails, and 19# Bosch injectors. Additional equipment includes retrofitted R134a-based air conditioning (new compressor, evaporator, condenser, and lines), cruise control, window tint, power side windows, and a JVC CD stereo.
LMR TRX 16″ alloy wheels are mounted with 225/55 Cooper Zeon RS3-G1 tires. BMR front lower control arms and SN95 springs, the brake master cylinder, brake rotors, shocks, and struts were recently replaced. Recently installed Maximum Motorsports adjustable caster camber plates, but the alignment is slightly off.
Driver power door is not working, you have to use the key.
Recently was on the dyno where the car made 212 RWHP, please see video and dyno sheet, remember this is rear wheel HP.

The digital speedo was replaced and because of this the miles came zeroed out, also, the conversion to let speedo show above 88mph was performed. Car currently shows about 1200 miles (which will go up as the car is driven daily). Mileage can be judged by the condition and from the clean accident-free Carfax. Before the speedo was replaced the mileage showed 58,000.
