Up for your consideration is a 1954 Mercury Monterey Woodie Wagon. A stunning classic that turns heads and gets thumbs up everywhere we go. With a beautiful flaming red exterior color, and with it's original two tone white and red interior and dash, makes this a timeless classic. This Mercury has gone though an extensive mechanical restoration in 2021-2022. Starting with a complete engine rebuild of the 256 Y-block stroker bored & honed to 0.04 to 282. Only 534 miles added since restoration. Also, a rebuilt 3 speed automatic "MERC O MATIC" transmission that was performed in 2021. We have installed power front disc brakes with a vacuum assist power canister. We rebuilt the Holley 2140 carburetor for that perfect smooth power performance. New fuel pump, new fuel filter, new fuel tank with a new sending unit. " GAS GAUGE WORKS GREAT". We have also installed a new aluminum radiator with a five blade fan, and replaced the thermostat and replaced the water pump. Runs cool on those hot summer days. Listen to the great tunes on the original radio..yes it works great also. All dash gauges work perfectly. Sorry, clock does not operate. ( The Clock Works can repair ) A cool black & yellow license plate with a 54 tag. Coker white wall tires P225-75R-15 are in good condition. Spare tire compartment has been protection sealed. All glass is in great original condition. Door windows roll up with ease as well a back slide windows. Chrome bumpers are in great condition. Surf racks that came with the car will go to the new owner. Now, for a bit of history on this classic. We named him "MURRAY". He was previously owned by the Los Angeles fire chief according to the owners we purchased him from in 2020 in Auburn. He has lived his whole life in California, and has been garage kept since our ownership. Non smoking owners. This classic wagon can seat six-passengers with ease. Tailgate folds down for your ice chest or picnic basket with plenty of room to spare. Keys to this Woodie are original, and work every lock. Receipts for work done will go with the sale.
