1954 Mercury Monterey
Car runs and drives but needs complete restoration. Odometer has probably turned over so has about 120,000 miles. Power steering leaks badly but still functions. Engine runs well, has good power and does not smoke. Transmission seems to work properly and does not slip. Brakes work but should be rebuilt-one or more wheel has sticking brakes. I drove the car very recently when we bought it and drove it about 30 miles but don’t recommend driving it very far or fast until brakes re-done. The previous owner had partially converted it from 6 volts to 12 volts but needs complete rewiring. Engine appears to be original except for a late model carburetor. Body seems pretty solid but has a little rust.
