1966 Mercury Cyclone

1966 Mercury Comet Cyclone GT!Factory Big Block Car! Car was really nice to begin with, but has been completely disassembled down to the shell and blasted. Every piece has been painstakingly restored.
MANY New Old Stock parts including tail lights and very hard to find trim. Overall condition is stunning! Extreme head turner! The car has a Period Correct Factory Super Stock theme. However, the graphics are decals that have been applied over the paint, so they can be easily removed if wanted. The car is built to DRIVE ANYWHERE. It starts super easily, it never overheats, and a person could honestly daily it they wanted... yet it still runs extremely strong! The engine is backed by a Toploader 4-speed and 3.50 Track Loc in the 9" rear.
Engine is an actual Ford 427 block with a 428 crank that displaces 454ci. Engine is built for STREET and runs on pump premium fuel. Carburetors and linkage are reproductions of the factory correct original carbs. Intake is a Medium Riser 2x4, and the heads are Edelbrocks that have been ported and had lighter 11/32" valves installed. Rockers are the Erson roller shaft system. All top quality parts used throughout the engine. Engine thumps and sounds very intimidating, yet has extremely good low/midrange power and shifts at 6k rpm. Exhaust is dumped at the rear axle, but also has electric cutouts installed! There have been a few modern touches to the car, such as Caltrac traction bars and their split mono-leaf rear springs and shocks. The car also has black racing seats installed, but also comes with a perfectly restored, recovered factory seat.
Many of the modifications to the car were done with fun in mind, and to make it a tribute to the old Factory Super Stock Era. However, they were done in a way that can make them easily un-done if the new owner would wish to do so. The car is BEAUTIFULLY restored with TONS of extremely hard to find NOS parts that are pretty much unobtainable. The bumpers are far nicer than what came from the factory. The money in those, the 'CYCLONE' corral in the rear, tail lights, grille, etc is substantial. It would be almost impossible to find another Comet Cyclone this nice, let alone a GT with a stroked 427 4-speed!
