This monster is affectionately known as MercZilla by the locals! Whereto even start...the engine is a good place! Professionally built by ECAM, the 402 Chevrolet big block is bored 30 over, runs 11:1 compression, and features rectangular port aluminum heads fitted with roller rockers. The cam and lifters, with 660 lift are rollers as well. Fuel is delivered to the block via an 850 double pumper Demon carb. Spark is provided by an MDS Ignition system and all the hardware tacked to the front of the engine are driven by a reliable Billet Specialties V-Trac pulley system. A trick electric fan system is engineered into both sides of the engine compartment, which keeps the heart of monster running cool.

Power is delivered to the 390 cut gears in the Ford 9" rear end running Moser axles to the wheels through a 700 R4 automatic transmission with a 3500 stall converter.

The duel exhaust runs 3" pipes with engine notes provided by Flow Master mufflers. For the times when a little more power (and a lot more attention) is needed...electric cut offs are fitted just behind the headers which sneak out un-restricted exhaust just behind the front tire on both sides!

"With great power comes great responsibility!" A popular quote and philosophical perspective which was understood and respected in the build of this car. In order to handle the massive power of the 402 big block, significant professional modifications were made to the braking, steering and suspension systems. To insure safe reliable stopping power is always at the ready, a Hydrobost Power Brake Kit was installed and disc brakes were added to all four corners. Ensuring the car goes where the driver commands, a Unisteer rack and pinion system was installed. To keep the wheels on the pavement, tubular control arms riding on QA-1 coil over shocks keep the front end planted and a professionally installed Cal Tracs suspension system supports the rear.

The body of the car is wearing Prowler Plum Mist paint with hand painted pinstripingand shows rust free and laser straight. The B pillar has been professionally removed which allows the rear ¼ glass windows to be removed as well. Once the rear ¼ windows are out, they can be stored in custom made cases that match the interior.

Keeping pace with the rest of the car, the interior is totally cool and custom. It features power windows and seats while the dash maintains the factory look with modern Auto Meter gauges keeping track of the engine systems. The A/C blows cold and a powerful modern stereo system provides the tunes. For how monstrous this car is, it is equally reliable and ready to hit the road!
