One of only 8,341 1950 Mercury convertibles produced and part of an early 50's Mercury Private Estate Collection located in Central California. This exquisite resto-mod, along with others within this collection, shows a meticulous and personal attention to every possible detail that is rarely observed. During the tedious body-off restoration of every vehicle in this collection, the owner went to great lengths to retain the original factory presence, body and exterior trim levels, only at a much higher level than could have been produced at the factory. To further elaborate, in discussions with the Sons of the owner/restorer, every piece of chrome, paint or finish was thoroughly reviewed pre-install and at times sent back to the vendor to reach his level of show quality finishes.. In a special relationship with GM parts sources, the power-trains were tastefully up-dated utilizing brand new "completely assembled factory components" which includes front accessory belt systems, AC/PS/Pumps/Etc components, intake/exhaust fuel delivery and GM performance electronics. During this process, every effort was taken to make sure the installation upgrades were subtle in appearance with extensive use of matte power-coat finishes and custom fitted under hood components... The chassis's and "all" related hardware received the same level of extensive tedious detail, all components were stripped, prepped and treated to professional powder coating services (sometimes multiple for perfection) and cad plating of any attaching hardware. These items include suspension components, rear differential housing and any access panels within the underbody...
