This is a rare 1971 Mercury Comet four-dour sedan. The '71 thru '77 Comets used to be a ubiquitous mid-level sedan (sister to the Ford Maverick), common on the roads. However, now you hardly ever see them, and even when you do, you never see a four-door. In an unusual break from the rigid standardization by Ford on its models in this era, the 1971 four-door was six inches longer in the wheelbase than the 2-door, making for an exceptionally spacious interior. Vehicle looks sharp, runs great and is ready to go. This is a very fun, very comfortable car to drive, with lots of power, and room for all your friends. You'll turn heads.
