For the quick readers:Great car, runs and drives 100%, everything works. Gorgeous paint with minor flaws. Shines like new. Interior in near perfect shape. Tires perfect. Floors perfect. Turn Key daily driver!!For the invested reader:Welcome everyone to my beautiful 1970 Mercedes 250 6cyl Sedan. I found this car in a barn/storage unit last year in Connecticut and just had to have it. And I did. (Plenty of photos to show my findings) I purchased it on the spot and was able to miraculously fill the tires with air and put a new battery in it, some new fuel and a few turns of the ignition - fire it up. I ended up driving it home that day without any issues. But I still knew there was work to be done. So I dismantled the dash, the engine bay and fixed everything I could possibly find wrong to improve the cars drivability and its reliability. Now, this truly is an unstoppable german tank. I have put over 4,000 miles on it driving it to and from work with absolute joy making it a reliable and 100% driving classic. I have had the heat on full blast, radio on and windows up during beautiful winter snow storms and I've had the windows down soaking in the sun and returning the thumbs ups I get from people driving by. At home, I park it in my garage and at work, I do the same. I work on classic cars for a living so hey - I was the perfect owner for this car at its current state. You're probably wondering, "Does it have rust? How does it run? Does it have any issues? Was it repainted? Do the lights and electronics work? Was it ever in accidents?" First let me say - I asked all the same questions you have, myself. And here are the answers. Rust: None that i found anywhere. I took a paint meter to the paint and it was 99% even on every surface. No bondo detected anywhere. Floors were/are undercoated nicely. Some original metal still showing and shows beautifully. How does it run? Great! I'd say it runs factory new. After all the tune up work I did, new carbs, spark plugs, wires, it drives absolutely flawlessly. No stalling, no hard starts, no overheating, no weird surges, no rough acceleration, no bogging. No nothing. Cold start or hot start - it is great. Does it have any issues? There is a small crack in the dash, small tiny pin sized nick in the paint, and the dimmer switch is missing but still works!! All functions of the car are optimal and running. Was it repainted? Likely but unsure. It is the correct factory "blue" (literally called that color) and has no defects other than a tiny ding down towards the bottom of the rear. It shines and looks impeccably well. Paint is near showroom condition with a beautiful high gloss reflection. Do the lights and electronics work? YES! All turn signals, high beams, horn, radio, wipers, heater, AC even, and interior lights work 100%. Was it ever in any accidents? Now… while I can safely say no, i did not own this car from new. There are no signs that this car has hit anything, or has been hit in any way. All original metal looks super well. Frame is straight, suspension and DISC brakes are all in tact and working great! I would safely say this is a accident free, daily driving vintage Mercedes that ANYONE can get into and drive away into the sunset. I am not selling this because of problems with the car. I am not selling it because I don't want it. I am selling it because I have to get a truck. It's time I own something more utilitarian for my businessI encourage anyone to ask me for video, more photos and whatever else you may need. I love the car and will gladly communicate with anyone who is seriously interested. Please only message me if you are serious and ready to buy. The car is stored in my garage in Kent Connecticut and has its bill of sale and transferable title ready to go. Two sets of keys, full tank of gas and she is all yours. Local transport available as well! Thank you everyone and happy hunting.
