This is a 1970 Mercedes Benz 280S. Great for parts or restoration.
The car is a California car and has been sitting for a number of years. We attempted to start it at some point however it would not start and we believe the head gasket is blown. So as of right now the car needs engine work. It does turn freely and is not seized.
The structural points and integrity of the car is A+.
Dry and solid undercarriage
The paint is old and looks original with various imperfections (see pics)
There is no major corrosion or dentsjust some typical rust in the spare tire well (see pics) etc.
The interior seating surfaces are pretty good for their age (see pics)
The front windshield shows a star shaped crack not visible on the photos
We were unable to test any of the other mechanical or electrical systems do to its non running status so bid accordingly.
