Update: I will return to Decatur, Texas Saturday after Thanksgiving where this car is located. In about 7-10 days after I get there, I will conduct the estate sale for this fellow, and the car will sell at that estate sale if you don't strike a deal with me between now and then.
I have been commissioned to sell out an estate in Decatur, Texas. The estate is under probate, and we will be able to transfer title after November 20. We have been unable to find the title, but suspect it is in the safe deposit box at the bank. When the probate is final, the lawyer will allow us to open the box to look for the title. Worst case scenario, if it is not there, we will get a duplicate title from the DMV in Austin, Texas. Do not worry. You will get a clear title to this car.
It is a one-owner vehicle and has 110,000 miles, always garaged. The body looks straight, the chrome great, the paint without any noticeable flaws. Interior looks fine. The AutoCheck from Experian checks out 100%. The estate wants to sell this car as it is sitting. Since the tires are flat and I am unable to pull it out of the garage, I am unable to shoot any side pictures.
The owner had a stroke and did not drive the car for nine years. It was last inspected in 2018, perhaps because the owner kept thinking each year he would get better and be able to drive it. Alas, that never happened, and he passed away in September of this year at age 79.
The tires are flat and will need to be replaced. We have no idea what the car will require to become up and running again, but it was running fine when parked in 2018 in the garage for the last time, having been inspected and licensed. We are looking for a realistic offer. An identical car to this one sold on eBay for $24K in October, and it had 140K miles. This one has 110K miles.
Note: The auction shows the car to be in Lubbock, Texas. That's where I live, and again - this car is in Decatur, 300 miles from my home - Decatur is northwest of Dallas/Fort Worth.
