1980 Mercedes-Benz G-Class
| Manufactured in March of 1980 this Mercedes was produced within the first 6 months of the G Wagon Launch. This desirable rear barn door model 300GD is in surprisingly great shape for her age and is an absolute pleasure to drive. The 5 cylinder diesel cranks right off and her 4 speed manual transmission cycles smoothly. The battery and tires were both recently replaced. Odometer froze at 40869 so actual mileage is unknown. I imported the vehicle from Europe and have a Louisiana title in hand. The vehicle recently passed inspection. Vehicle runs perfectly. Underside looks good, a couple spots on upper quarter panel seem to have been treated and repaired when painted black from the original tan. Minor drip of engine oil on seal but very minimal. 3 keys included. Vehicle can be driven and enjoyed knowing it will continue to appreciate or restored to perfection very easily. While I hate to let her go, I simply have too many projects. Happy to give video tour or add any info as requested. |
