Vehicle Details

This is a 1991 Mercedes 500 SL. I purchased it from the executors to the estate of the previous owner, who had the car in Nevada and Southern Utah in 2020. I had several things replaced:

New Tires Mid-2020

New Brakes/Rotors in the front

New Suspension Struts Front and Back

New Tie Rods

New Bump Stops for suspension

New Fuel Tank Lines

New Coolant Reservoir

New Fan Belts

Transmission Flushed/Serviced

New Engine Valve Seal Gaskets

New Alpine CD Audio System with Bluetooth, USB Auxiliary and HD Radio mated to Bose and Boston Acoustics speakers

New Battery

Car comes with original manuals and 2 keys. I key is a plain mercedes key and the other is the original Keyless Entry fob that does work.

Overall condition:

Car runs and drives great.

There is a slight power steering fluid leak, but it’s slow so I didn’t bother fixing it.

Car comes with both the hard and soft tops. The hydraulic system for the top works, but has run out of fluid. The pump has a leaky seal and one hydraulic component on the drivers side leaked as well. These are easily replaceable, however I haven’t done it since I’m looking at replacing the car. Tops can be easily operated manually as well. This issue is taken into account in the asking price.

The interior is in overall very good shape. There is only one small wear hole in the drivers side bolster leather that could be easily repaired.

There are no cracks on the dash and all glass is in excellent shape.

There is a slight dent on the trunk lid that isn’t really noticeable under the 500SL badge. There is also a slight break in the paint on the top part of the rear bumper also below the 500SL emblem. There are scratches and knicks that are minor around the car. The front bumper has some breaks in the lower part of the plastic. The pump for the windshield wiper fluid is not working. There is a crack in the soft top rear window. The headliner for the hardtop sags slightly, but is made of a rubber like material, so it will be easily fixable. There is also a slight leak in the power steering line, however it’s so slow it wasn’t worth repairing. I just add mineral fluid every 6 months. The drivers side fender is replaced with another in signal red as there was a slight dent on the corner by the bumper, however I have the original fender and can include that as well. I also have an additional trunk lid that can be included as well.

Overall this is a great car at a great price.
