Purchased in 1966 by this owner the car has been meticulously maintained throughout the years
Always garaged in Newport Beach California during its lifetime 73,635 Miles Shown
The car was repainted in January of 1969 the same Light Ivory Factory color as original (The door jambs are original & have not been repainted) – The Engine was completely rebuilt in 1969 to factory specs as well
In August of 1988 the Rear Axle was rebuilt along with the entire Brake System
The Seats & Door Panels were Re-upholstered in May of 2000 – At the same time maintenance included: the Interior Wood was Removed & Refinished, The Transmission was Removed & Rebuilt & the Tires were replaced at the same time
In 2002 the car was put into storage & the engine compartment was Fully Detailed & much Rubber Replaced – During that time Front & Rear Chrome was Re-plated – the Radiator Assembly & many Engine Compartment parts were replaced during reassembly – All Hoses, Ignition Parts, Carburetors, Firewall Panels, Heater Boxes, Brake Booster, Heater Cores, Vent Hoses, Etc.
The Car Runs & Drives Very Well & comfortably with no apparent issues – The car has only been driven to test vehicle operation since 2002, Approximately 100 Miles overall during that time
Paint condition is very nice but not perfect & has held up well for its age
Overall the car is mechanically & structurally sound & an exceptionally nice car – Can be driven & enjoyed daily, as a weekend pleasure vehicle, or continuing the restoration to an exceptional example of this Mercedes Marque
