The car is very original and complete. After seating in a dry storage for a few years the fuel pump has been rebuilt, fuel system cleaned and drained and the fuel injection pump rebuilt. The engine runs very smoothly and the transmission shifts great, however the brakes need to be checked to have a daily driver. The parking brake works great. With some TLC and a little effort this 280 SEL will make a great daily driver. Exterior The exterior is very presentable but not perfect. The body is very solid, underside is dry and solid, no major leaks. Paint is older but still looks nice. The chrome is nice driver quality. All the glass is intact. InteriorThe interior is very complete and in excellent shape. The woodgrain is in really good shape and I believe the interior is original. The upholstery is in excellent condition as well as the headliner. The radio is functional, power windows work, lights are functional.
