The 5 cylinder diesel engine starts right up and runs extremely well! The idle is smooth. The engine does not smoke ormake any apparent unusualnoises. The entire drive trainis solid and tight.

The automatic transmission shifts properly into all gears.

The steering, brakes and suspension are in good working order.

Cosmetically the 300 SD has spent all or most of its life in the northern California bay area and as shown on the pictures below some of the panels have rust/blistering.

The paint appears to be original and the most notable imperfections with the paint is the clear coat is peeling in several areas

As with any un-restored vehicle there are various imperfections such as dings, dents, chips, scratches, scrapes, blistering, hazing, fading, clear coat peeling, nicks, etc...
