What makes this SL special, is that this is the TRUE EUROPEAN 6 Cylinder model, featuring more elegant and desirable short European Bumpers, and square one piece European Headlights!!!

280SL was a special production model, and limited number of cars were produced each year from 1974 until 1985, as majority of its siblings produced were V8 models. Out of 237,287 R107's ever producedONLY25,436 were 280SL's, and after 30+ years of life number of 280SL's on the road today is much much smaller!!!

Even though being inline 6, the engine delivers as much power as the US version V8's, and being lighter car, its much more nimble and fun to drive in the city, and along the highway!!

About the car:

This SL was parked at a vacation home in Florida and sporadically used over the past few years. It runs and drives great, but due to its limited use over past few years, and before any serious driving is done tune-up and a lookover are in order.

It's elegant Black paint has a nice shine and luster, and it truly makes this German Roadster look timeless!! Chrome is in great condition, complete with healthy luster, and this beautiful roadster is a head turner and conversation piece everywhere it goes.

Undercarriage is all original, unmolested, and free of any kind of undercoatings except the factory one! Factory VIN # stamping on the front radiator support is another sign of originality of this car. (Please see pictures)

This SL comes with both soft top, and the hard top! Original black soft top is brittle and it will need to be replaced but it is operating with ease.

Hard top is in good condition including the headliner which is clean, and rips and tears free!!

Its original black MB-Tex interior is in good condition. Seats are in great condition and they are very supportive and comfortable!

This Mercedes comes with power windows, and they are working as they should!

All glass is Original SEKURIT glass, including its ORIGINAL Windshield!

Fees:

We do charge $185 documentary fee that will be added to the winning bid amount. This fee is used to cover any administrative and paperwork expenses, overnighting the documents to your door, and issuing a 30 days temporary tag.

All buyers are responsible for all state, county, city taxes and fees, as well as title/registration fees in the state that the vehicle will be registered in.

Florida Residents will be responsible for Florida Sales tax, Tag & Title fees at the time of the sale, and out-of-state Residents will be more than likely responsible for their states sales tax, tag & Title fees in their own state.

A temporary tag can be issued if needed to transport the vehicle back to your home state. Temp tags are good for 30 days.
