**TITLE DISCLOSURE: This 300TD actually has a clean title that was issued to the second owner in 1989. I verified with the State of Alabama DMV that this title is in fact the correct and current one and they assured me that it is. They do show if having a salvage title but no answer on how it came to be clear clerical error? Insurance pirate? I don't know. CLEAR TITLE comes with the car upon sale. Drives great above average interior serviced so it starts runs stops as it should and it does so quite well.
"They don't make them like this anymore" is a statement that isn't any truer than when talking about old Mercedes diesels. Made like a tank and powered by an engine that easily operates for 300K miles and more! This is a 2 owner Alabama car that was kept to take its owners back and forth from their cabin in the Smokey Mountains back to their residence in Cullman AL. When the husband passed the car sat for a few years and we obtained it from the family. These are much harder to find than the sedan variant plus this one has better miles than most. A very nice example with well under 100K miles can fetch over $20000. Better than average interior. 2 very small cracks in the dash board (pictured). This is basically a driveable barn find but could easily be brought back to collector level with fresh paint and that would elevate the value greatly. WE have plenty of projects currently so this one will be serviced and necessary repairs made then on to the next owner. I have driven it about 100 miles and it has virtually no play in the steering wheel accelerates (as well as these accelerate) and stops straight. Does not have the troublesome SLS rear suspension on this one. Priced to make someone a killer driver or a solid example for a restoration!
