They are known to be the most reliable and enduring cars Mercedes Benz ever produced . You often find them with over 500k miles and still running well. This one has plenty of life left with only 63,000 miles on it.By far the best thing about this 300CD is the way it still drives after 33 years.
The interior is in great shape all together. The seats are nice, the carpets are clean and even the wood panels are still in wonderful condition.
It has always been well maintained and it shows. Just recently we went through the Air conditioning system. The AC works well and blows cold.
This 300CD has great pick up and the transmission shifts smooth through all the gears. It is truly fun to drive and i would not hesitate to take it on any long distance trip at a moments notice. You can comfortable cruise at 85 miles an hour and still get 27 mpg of diesel. The vacuum system works the way it should and so does the sunroof . All the power windows wor, just like the powerdoor locks and the power sunroof.
The original Becker Radio works along with the antenna. We have purchased and fixed the missing rubber around the antenna shown in the video.
