1969 Lotus Elan

This 1969 Lotus Elan plus two is now a roller project, but it was a restored car with a rare Cosworth engine about 7 years ago when I bought it.

However, I pulled the Cosworth engine out in order to put a stock big valve twincam engine, and never had the time to put the engine back. The Cosworth engine is gone.
Also, unfortunately, the paint has been chipping although the car was always at enclosed heated storage.

Thus, right now, its a complete car, with great body but flaking paint, clean chassis, very clean interior, and great potential for either a stock twin cam engine, or another BDR/BDA/Ztec or other engine. All the gauges are there. The engine bay is clean (of course missing drivetrain and accessories). All the glass and chrome trim are good. Headliner and door panels are in good shape.
The wood is pretty good. The seats are nice and comfortable. The chassis is clean. The body is straight and good. The wheels are nice. The car rolls and steers well. The brakes are good but probably need some work due to sitting. It just needs drivetrain and paint job. You can read about the history in the above links. I do have a clean title.
