1983 Land Rover Defender

I am selling my Camel Trophy Land Rover 110. This is the one of the rarest of Camel Trophy trucks. One of 12 built by Land Rover Special Vehicles for the Camel Brazil Race. It is also the first year of the Land Rover 110. It is an original left hand drive and one of two competition trucks driven my team Italy. Team Italy won the Camel Trophy Race for 1984.
So this is first year of manufacture. one of twelve built. Winning Team. Italy had two competition trucks. This is NOT a support vehicle but actual competition truck.I have new correct Black and Yellow decals for the doors, and correct Black and Yellow Camel large metal emblem for above the roof that are replacing the Green Yellow decals and Emblem. The rear cross member was replaced, but the rest of the chassis is in amazing condition for the year.The Original engine has less than 40K original miles.The original winch has been restored to as new.The sand ladders on the roof rack are not original, but are brand new replacements.The truck has been stored inside all of its life and is in superb condition.I have all supporting, and original documents.
I am the second owner. I purchased this from a seller who represented the Italian team driver. It still has the original 1984 Italian license plate, and the original ownership document. I imported the truck in 2017 and it has been stored inside my facility here in Charleston.This truck is a museum collectible. It can be used as a display model for many types of businesses or restaurant. I would not say this is a daily driver, but if you are fine with standard steering and standard brakes, well there you go. I do not see this vehicle depreciating because of its heritage.
