Description:

1964 Land Rover Defender

1964 Land Rover 109 5 door station wagon left hand drive. This vehicle has a lot of great upgrades. These originally come with reliable, but very slow diesel engines. This one has a low mileage 4.3L vortec with about 3 times the power. It also has a super stout nv4500 5 speed transmission along with the original transfer case. The rear end has been upgraded to a Salisbury unit and power disc brakes front and rear. Power steering has also been added. The whole thing rides smoother and a little higher due to parabolic springs. The interior is in pretty good shape with a lockable tuffy box and stereo system. There is one RIP in the passenger seat along a seam which can probably be repaired. The drivers side seat cushion has slight wear. The paint is passable from a distance but is pretty poor. There is overspray places. The previous color was yellow which you can tell at places in the interior If you are picky, you will want to repaint I imagine. Many of these old land rovers are painted with a roller so I have not been too concerned. Rear door and rear door bottoms are rusted out. Like all old land rovers, this one leaks but they have been small. Before I owned this land rover, I had an 85 land rover 90 which was coil sprung and had the 2.5 diesel. This truck rides as well and performs better in every way. Plus it is left hand drive. Comes with both sets of wheels. The alloy set requires wheel spacers to install. Have both alloy and steel lug nuts for the sets. Also have an extra set of front door tops. Also comes with the tailgate and rear door for both looks seen in the pictures.
