California rust-free 1990 LandRover Range Rover Classic, an original SWB ( Long wheelbase) vehicle. This RangeRover is a sought-after Classic year model, with the first-year-only introduction of Antilock Braking system and Revised interior. I am looking for a Land Rover enthusiast to take ownership of thisvehicle.
Solid, rust-free ONE-OWNER California Land Rover, residing here in California all of itslife since being purchased new from Gregg Motors Land Rover of Santa Barbara in Southern California in 1990.
This Classic is stock original, except for a mild suspension upgrade of a 2" lift with Heavy-duty springs and EMU HD struts. Approximately 155K original miles, low for a Land Rover. It starts immediately, idles and drives well on both town and on the highway, with no leaks or smells.
There isNO rust nor corrosion on this vehicle as it would be expected from a California-lived Range Rover ( hard-pressed condition to find in any Land Rover beyond the Sierra mountains). BEWARE OF RUST BUCKETS COMING FROM THE EAST COAST~! ( it's beyond me why anyone would want to buy an East coast car with potential hidden rust ).
Most standard features and amenities available at time of production. Clean stock factory 16" alloy wheels, with radial tires mounted on them ( with approximately 60% tread remaining).
Stock 3.9Lengine runs very well. As it is well documented in all Land rover circles, the 3.9L motor was a vast improvement over the earlier 3.5L engines as it was more robust and had more torque as a result of engine redesigning to increase displacement to a more efficient, reliable motor.
NO overheating issues, ticking nor noises to contend with. NONE. Automatic transmission shifts well into all gears. Four-wheel Power disc brakes brake smoothly without pulsation.Power steering,Power windows ( all four work), Power mirrors,Powerseats, cruise control, aftermarket CD player and A/C.Transfer case and differentials engage smoothly and precisely, without noises, crunching or sloppiness.
Finish is still in its Forest Green factory color, with NO hood or roofline fading nor oxidation of the clearcoat ( common ailment on all Range Rovers). Still shines nicely.The body, chassis, undercarriage, floorboards and all door sills are super solid considering this Classic is twenty seven years young ! Including the problematic rear window frame.
This original Range Rover SWB Classic is beingsold unrestored and untouched, except for some basic maintenance and service which has already been performed, such as:* Recent brake service* Rblt ABS module* New battery* New alternator* Oil change* Cooling system flush* Updated HELLA H2 headlights* HELLA 100 FF foglights
The original Gray leatherupholstery is in good condition and has held up very well.There are no cracks or tears on any of the leather bolsters in the seats ( except the front bottom of the driver's which is to be reupholstered).No rips, tears or seam splits. CLEAN headliner with new dome lights.Overall, a clean originalinterior, door panels and factory original carpeting.
The photos show the SWB accurately. NON SMOKER vehicle, ever. A very solid, rust-free unrestored classic, with better-than-average miles and a good 3.9L engine. It runs very well with a strong, solid powertrain.Clean chassis, with no tweaks. It will make an excellent candidate for restoration, camping vehicle or just a fun Land Rover to drive aroundas it is. This Classic is turn-key.
