Restoration Work:

This truck was rebuilt bolt by bolt from the frame up. Not your standard “slap job” that will end up being an endless money pit that’s always in the shop. All teething issues have been worked out during my ownership, making this a very dependable daily driver. TD5 Diesel motor remapped and tuned by the well known TD5 Alive crew — making this defender one of the fastest diesel defenders in the country. This engine yields an impressive 150-170 hp. It’s has more power and is much faster than other defenders that will feel like your driving a lawn mower. If you search on the european forums, the later TD5 (this engine is the later model) is regarded as the defenders most beloved engine, proven to be reliable and very tunable motor. Compared to the 107hp you’ll find in the 200 tdi & the 122hp you’ll find in the 300 tdi, you’ll be able to actually pass people on the highway. Restore was done on a brand new galvanized frame.

Use:

This is my daily driver, very dependable.All regular maintenance done per manual schedule.

Condition:

Fully restored per above, NO rust on chassis, outriggers, footwells, door bottoms. Mechanically working 100%.Small ding in the windscreen, paint is beautiful but, does have some mild scratching here and there. Needs a better radio if you need to listen to Kenny G. This truck is being used daily. Beautiful, but not 100% - this is not a show car.

DETAILS:

As good as your going to find one, but not a trailer queen. Powerful motor makes it comfortable to drive around town and on the highway as well.This is a man’s truck, so if your worried about the right hand drive or chipping the clear coat from your afternoon manicure, better to buy a new jeep with fancy rims and call it a day.Up close, you see some flaws and surface rust on under body bolt heads, light scratches andnicks on the paint. If it was absolutely perfect the truck would be listed for 30% more. The big difference is that I didn’t buy this truck to make a profit - like most of the defenders were on eBay. The truck was bought and cared for - for my own use and no corners were cut. They aren’t making any more of these and getting your hands on them will continue to get harder and harder. Even more impossible to find them rust-free with adequate power and newer updated interiors.
