A truly stunning restored Defender 110 Double Cab Pick up (DCPU) finished in Land Rover Santorini Black. This is an original left hand drive 200tdi Defender from the South of France that has undergone a total “frame off” restoration. Its original, dry climate chassis (frame) was given new rear and middle cross members prior to media blasting, priming and powder coating making it 100% rust free and built to last. This Defender has been given new doors, swing out tailgate and Puma bonnet as part of a complete panel off re-spray and refurbishment. It's not only unique, but also exceptionally sharp. It has kept its original super strong 200tdi engine (showing just 120,000 miles) and 5-speed LT77 manual transmission (both sitting on new OEM mounts). The engine has the benefit of new turbo, new radiator, new viscous fan and belt, new hoses, new fuel tank, new exhaust and complete service including a new cambelt, tensioners, new clutch and seals, gaskets and fluids.

As well as the drive train, the running gear has undergone a complete overhaul, adding a Terrafirma Pro Sport 2” lift that includes, new springs & shocks, new heavy duty turrets, swivels completely overhauled with new seals and uprated swivel pins, new bushes throughout, new brake lines, new brake pads and shoes, new brake master cylinder, new drive flanges and 5x new 18” Boost alloys (including studs) with new Falken all terrain tires. The original wiring harness was removed from the frame, all outdated additions removed, repaired where necessary, new style light plugs added then fully re-taped. The truck has LED running lights throughout with daytime “Halo” running lights that double as amber turning lights and bumper mounted fog and hi beam assist lights that are wired into existing switchgear. There is also an Anderson charging plug that is accessed in the cab (beneath driver seat) so no need to remove the seat to access battery terminals.

The interior has been given a top of the line full burgundy leather Corbeau low base sport seats and center storage box upgrade. New Exmoor Trim wooden rim steering wheel, and 5 piece hi density sound deadening rubber matts (includes seat box, transmission tunnel and bulkhead cover). As expected the driving experience this Land Rover offers is very impressive, The original 200Tdi starts right up and settles to a very healthy idle. Out on the road it drives and feels incredibly solid and tight with smoothness you wouldn't expect from a ride featuring its 18" alloy wheels and all terrain tires. Power brakes all round will bring it to a stop in short order and its power steering is light and responsive which is not surprising, considering the attentive care it's received.
