1980 Jeep CJ CJ5
This rust-free Jeep CJ5 (base model with manual steering and brakes) from the west contains all of the original metal and it recently underwent a frame-off restoration. Every part of this Jeep was reconditioned, rebuilt, or replaced. Some of the many new parts include the electrical system, radiator, heater core, suspension with 2.5” lift, heavy duty tie rods, dash and dash pad, oil pressure and voltmeter gauges, seat covers, seat belts, bikini top, spare tire carrier, off-road tires, tail lights, parking lights, side marker lights, sideview mirrors, windshield, wiper arms, starter motor, master cylinder, brakes and brake lines, fender flares, 1.5” wheel spacers, Holley EFI with fuel pump in the tank, and much more. I have almost all of the receipts if you are interested. Many parts were also powder coated in satin black, such as the period-correct wheels, roll bar, grille, skid plates, and front bumper. The original 258 engine was rebuilt, runs excellent, and is paired with a 4-speed T176 transmission (rebuilt as well). The color of the Jeep is cement grey, which was painted using a single-stage paint and it does display some light orange peel. The only item that does not work is the factory temperature gauge, which I will likely replace in the near future. I also have the original rear seat and soft doors, both in black vinyl, but I do not have a soft or hard top. Keep in mind that this is a 43 year old vehicle, thus it does have some imperfections despite being restored.
