Description:
1987 Jeep Grand Wagoneer
A detailed overview video is available on YouTube with the following title and link: Detailed Overview of My 1987 Jeep Grand Wagoneer https://youtu.be/bk59i4k_PDY •I am selling this 1987 Jeep Grand Wagoneer with the presumption that the buyer has restoration plans and not expecting that it will become a daily driver without repairs.
To the best of my knowledge, it is all original and complete. • •
VIN: 1JCNJ15U9HT081657
To my knowledge, the vehicle has spent its entire life in New England and the seller should be aware there will be the expected corrosion for its time on the road (137,600 miles) and in Nature’s garage. • •
It is not far from being a fun vehicle; fair amount of work to become a daily driver; significant work to become a show piece…. but there is a lot to work with here! • •
Headliner cloth adhesive had failed and cloth was removed; backer board and trim were left in place for reference and assembly. •
Four wheel drive works in both High and Low range transfer case selections. •
Literature Included • •Software Literature: • PDF Shop Manual, • electrical schematics, • and parts manual. • •Printed Literature: • Electrical schematics, • transmission overhaul manual, • Owner’s Manual, • Haynes Repair Manual.
Engine Related[ ] Parts replaced: •New ignition system with Pertronix unit; •New distributor cap and rotor; •New right exhaust air injection check valve; •New fuel filter; • New choke un-loader; •New wires not installed but included; •Rebuilt carburetor with kit; •New ignition coil; •New spare ignition module; •New spare distributor reluctor and pickup coil; •New plugs;[ ] New EGR valve; installed but vacuum line not connected. Some vacuum line routing appeared different than schematic I had and I did not want to mess things up since it was running real nice.
Additional NotesCruise control stopped working.Small exhaust manifold gasket leak on passenger side (can be heard in videos).Tailgate window defogger electrical circuit is OK but the timing circuit within the relay is bad: also, very few of the window heater strips work.Rebuilt carburetor with Hygrade carb kit.New power window rack driver side.New master cylinder.Tires have decent tread but very old and need to be replaced.Air Conditioning was working but refrigerant hose ruptured near rear of right exhaust manifold and was not repaired.Moonroof: To my knowledge, all components are included but I never tried using the moon roof as it was sealed by a previous owner.
I put together the video linked below because eBay’s maximum number of pictures is limited to 24 for auctions, and that is not nearly enough information for a buyer to make a good judgment on the vehicle’s value in order to bid appropriately.
Thank you for looking and bid accordingly.
